    • Reserved parking will be provided for all registered vendors.

    • Please arrive by 11:30 AM to check in and set up your space.

    Help Shape the Names That Reflect Our Identity, History & Future

    We invite you to be part of a powerful new initiative that honors our community’s identity, history, and voice: the District Facility Naming Task Force.

    Across our district, school buildings and facilities represent pride, purpose, and belonging. As we reflect on our values of equity, excellence, and community engagement, it’s time to consider how the names of our district facilities reflect who we are—and who we aspire to be.

    Why This Matters

    This is your chance to help shape a clear, inclusive, and community-rooted policy around how we name or rename our schools, campuses, and district facilities.

    🧠 What Will the Task Force Do?

    • Examine current facility names and concerns

    • Research naming best practices from other districts

    • Develop inclusive criteria for naming and renaming

    • Host public input and feedback sessions

    • Recommend a formal policy to the Board of Education

    👥 Who Can Join?

    We are seeking participation from across the Proviso community:

    • Students & families from Proviso East, Proviso West, and PMSA

    • Teachers and staff from all campuses

    • Alumni of Proviso schools

    • Local leaders, community members, equity advocates, and historians

    • Anyone passionate about our shared identity and future

    Whether you want to share historical knowledge, suggest new names, or simply be a voice in the room—your perspective is needed.

    📅 Commitment & Timeline

    The Task Force will meet between August and October 2025, with a mix of in-person and virtual meetings to accommodate all schedules.
